Hi, I'm LeeSean.
I'm an artist, designer, and educator based in Providence and New York City. My work centers on creative process and collective action as tools for challenging and redesigning established systems.
In my artistic practice, I am a photographer and singer-songwriter, currently working on an album of original songs. I also sing tenor 1 with the Rhode Island Gay Men's Chorus.
I co-founded Foossa, a creative consultancy that facilitates community-centered design and social innovation, and I currently serve as Chief Community Officer at AIGA, the professional association for design. As part of my role at AIGA, I founded, produced, and co-hosted the award-winning AIGA Design Podcast.
I've taught design, futures thinking, storytelling, and innovation strategy at NYU, Parsons, SVA, and Emerson College. I hold a bachelor's in Government from Harvard and a master's in Interactive Telecommunications from NYU.
I'm also active in labor organizing. I served on the executive board of UAW Local 7902, representing academic workers at The New School and NYU, and was a delegate to the union's 2026 Constitutional Convention. I currently sit on the bargaining committee for SVA Faculty United as they negotiate their first contract.
